The loop
What a run is, what one turn is, and what ends a run. Builds the ring: four stations, a counter, an exit hatch.
What this module changes: Changes nothing — it builds the base object, the ring. The other seven modules are each one change to this ring.
- Name the six jobs the model doesn't doIs it the model that runs the agent?Completed
What you keep: A list of the six responsibilities in your own setup, each with an owner written beside it: the model, the machine, or you.
Pass rule: All six rows have an owner's name on them. A row whose owner cannot be written is a missing piece, and the setup does not count as complete.
Open the lesson → - See how many turns one run really takesOne answer came back — how many steps made it?Completed
What you keep: A turn-by-turn breakdown of one real run: what each station produced on each turn.
Pass rule: The number of turns in your breakdown matches the number the machine counted, one for one. If a single turn does not add up, the run is not observable and the breakdown is rejected.
Open the lesson → - Write the stopping rule before the runWho decides the work is finished?Completed
What you keep: Stopping conditions written into the run brief — at least two of the four kinds.
Pass rule: Every run that ends, ends with the name of one of the written conditions. An ending that matches no condition is logged as a fault, not a success.
Open the lesson → - Set the ceiling on what one run may spendHow long should it keep trying, and at what cost?Completed
What you keep: Two written ceilings per run: the most turns and the most spend.
Pass rule: A run that hits a ceiling stops and falls to the tray instead of quietly carrying on. The ceiling sits above the most expensive of your last ten runs, otherwise it is cutting you off rather than cutting the job off.
Open the lesson → - Tell the spinning run from the quitting oneWhy does it sometimes never stop, and sometimes give up at once?Completed
What you keep: Your last twenty runs sorted into three columns: finished, spun, quit early.
Pass rule: All twenty runs land in a column. If a single run cannot be placed, the ring is not observable and visibility gets fixed first.
Open the lesson → - Let it pick up exactly where it stoppedA long job stops halfway — where does it resume from?Completed
What you keep: The shape of the three-line resume note written out on every turn.
Pass rule: A cold-started run produces the turn after the one it was cut off on. If it starts over, or jumps to a different step, state was lost and the note is incomplete.
